Event Information

Title: ADA Design Criteria: Accounting for Concrete Sidewalk & Ramp Tolerances

Session ID: WE135

Description:

Many times, contractors are set up for failure right out of the gate. Unfortunately, there are times we are dealing with a Design Team who do not fully understand the need for tolerances, and this is especially true for ADA designs and strict ADA standards. This seminar will dive into ADA design criteria and working with the design team to ensure that standards and parameters are being met. Ensure your field crew knows how the design came to fruition and how they can successfully install with meeting the design requirements.

1. Outline the ADA Design Criteria and the Architects & Engineers design
2. Determine if the design actually works for the parameters you’re faced with
3. Analyze how the ramp or sidewalk should be designed
4. Define the design that works and present to the Architect or Engineer for approval
