NEW for WOC 2024! 3D Construction Printing is one of the fastest growing, emerging concrete construction techniques entering the residential and commercial marketplace. The influx of new layering techniques, machine designs, and materials is rapidly transforming construction as we know it. When any innovation enters the market, adoption can be challenging. Contractors and producers using 3D construction printing are encountering several constraints that limit acceptance by code officials and design professionals.
This editorial luncheon and forum will focus on the challenges contractors face as they bring the type of construction application to the field. In this interactive, peer-to-peer environment, a panel of industry experts will discuss the challenges and attempt to create a consensus on how the industry should merge its efforts to advance 3D construction printing.
Topics of discussion:
- Developing common message that supports all types of additive manufacturing techniques
- Determining criteria for 3D printing quality acceptance
- Creating pathway to residential and commercial code compliance
- Unifying industry message to dispel common myths associated with 3D technology
